Lynn met her husband, David Clark, in Denver through a mutual friend. Their fathers were on the same orders at Stewart Air Force Base in West Point, NY.  They celebrated their 21st anniversary on May 10th 2009.  Although they have no children of their own, they are a favorite "aunt" and "uncle" around the valley to many kids and god parents to Matt and Jake Townsley.  They do have 4-legged kids Kodi, Calvin & Hobbes, Rhythm & Hollywood.

Something you might not know about Lynn is that in 1993, she became involved with rescuing thoroughbred horses from racetracks across the country and finding them homes.  Lynn owned Secretariat Dancer, the son of Triple Crown winner Secretariat, and the grandson Valentine Dancer, until their death in the fall of 2001.  Lynn works with her horses and volunteers her time to provide disadvantaged adults and children with the opportunity to be around horses and ride them.

"Rotary has been a very important part of my life.  Having grown up traveling the world and being thrown into the business world at a very young age, Rotary has been a solid influence for me.  The 4-way Test is something I feel that is beneficial to be taught to young people at an early age, so they can learn to incorporate it into their life and their future."

MEET FRANK McSWAIN

MEET FRANK McSWAIN...This member of our Rotary Club joined our club in February 2003. He is the Executive Director of the Valley View Hospital Foundation. Frank had not been a Rotarian before, but his father had 100% attendance for 40 years, as a Rotarian in North Carolina, where Frank was raised. He attended the University of North Carolina and doesn't mind letting you know about it if the North Carolina Tar Heels are leading in their sport over the other schools! He got his MBA at the Kellogg School of Northwestern University. Frank worked for 25 years in the Chicago, Minnesota area in the flexible packaging industry, going from sales to marketing to General Manager to President of the company. They mainly packaged food and pharmaceutical sales, always improving on quality of materials for longer life of product.

Frank and his wife Rosie moved to the valley in 2000, following their three children who already lived in the area. They have three children and six grandchildren living in Glenwood Springs. Frank says he thinks "they have died and gone to heaven", finding such a vibrant place to live even though his children already knew this before he did. This is a very "giving" couple. Frank started working at VVH in 2003, and created the Foundation from scratch. Rosie started "Tom's Door", a nonprofit church group that gives money to the needy.

Frank served as our club president in 2007-2008. While he was president our club was awarded Rotary District 5470's D.D. Monroe award for the most outstanding Rotary club in the District!
